Mice homozygous for a hypomorphic gene trap allele are viable and display a male-specific reduction in postnatal weight gain as well as hyperhomocysteinemia, hypomethionemia, increased tissue methyltetrahydrofolate, and AdoMet/AdoHcy ratios that range from high to slightly below normal.
