Homozygous mutant embryos undergo extensive apoptosis and die during early gestation. Heterozygous mice are viable and exhibit splenomegaly, abnormal megakaryopoiesis, and an increased susceptibility to intestinal tumorigenesis. Hypomorphic homozygotes display infertility and premature aging.
