Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit embryonic lethality while heterozygotes show decreased body weight and body temperature, hypoactivity, increased anxiety-like behaviors, impaired learning and memory, and defects in adult hippocampal neurogenesis and long term potentiation.
