Incidental mutations (data from Mutagenetix , APF )
 
Homozygotes for a targeted null mutation exhibit growth retardation and rostral neural tube defects, and die prenatally. Mutants exhibit slight under-methylation of endogenous viral DNA and substantial demethylation of minor satellite DNA.
