Homozygous null mice die at birth exhibiting pancreas dorsal lobe agenesis, small pancreatic islets, and aberrant beta-cell function and motor axon guidance. Mice homozygous for other reporter/null alleles show neonatal death, atelectasis, and impaired motor neuron and pancreas differentiation.
