Most embryos homozygous for a reporter allele die at midgestation displaying delayed growth, neurodevelopmental anomalies, impaired erythropoiesis, deficient yolk sac lipoprotein production, hemorrhage and necrosis. Heterozygous mutant mice display altered plasma lipid and lipoprotein profiles.
