Homozygotes for a gene trap allele show reduced fetal size, partial embryonic and neonatal lethality, altered cytoskeletal structure, cardiac defects including ventricular noncompaction, double outlet right ventricles and ventricular septal defects, and impaired cell adhesion and wound healing.
