Tg(Ly6e-MALT1)#Isg/0 Trp53tm1Tyj/Trp53tm1Tyj mice develop activated B-cell diffuse large-cell lymphoma

mortality/aging
• die earlier than transgenic mice wild-type for Trp53

neoplasm
• develop aggressive lymphomas characterized by a diffuse infiltrate of large B-lymphocytes with nuclei with dispersed chromatin, deeply basophilic cytoplasm and multiple mitotic figures

Tg(Ly6e-MALT1)#Isg/0 mice develop extranodal mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphomas

mortality/aging

neoplasm
• develop human like MALT lymphomas
• tumors involve different extranodal sites including the small intestine, salivary glands, kidneys, lungs, liver, stomach, ocular adnexa, and spleen, but do not affect the lymph nodes
• many mice (17 of 26) have tumors involving more than 1 site
• tumors are comprised of a morphologically heterogeneous lymphoid population, predominantly composed of marginal zone (centrocyte-like) cells mixed with small lymphocytes, scattered large blasts, and plasma cells

immune system
• in the bone marrow
• moderate accumulation in the peripheral blood and spleen but not in the lymph nodes
• in the bone marrow

hematopoietic system
• in the bone marrow
• moderate accumulation in the peripheral blood and spleen but not in the lymph nodes
• in the bone marrow
• expansion of Sca1+ Kit+ Lin- cells in the bone marrow
