Homozygous mutation of this gene results in embryonic or neonatal lethality, hemorrhages, edema, increased vascular branching, and abnormal vascular endothelial cell development. Mice homozygous for a hypomorphic allele exhibit dilated and disorganized lymphatic vessel, edema, and hemorrhage.
