Homozygotes for a null allele show polydipsia, polyuria, decreased urine osmolality, higher serum glucose levels, kidney glomerular and tubular pathology, and impaired renal water reabsorption. Homozygotes for a different null allele show impaired synaptic plasticity and social behavior.
