Mice homozygous for a gene trap allele exhibit complete embryonic lethality during organogenesis associated with growth retardation, delayed neural tube closure, incomplete embryo turning, pericardial effusion, disorganized yolk sac vascular plexus and head mesenchyme hypocellularity.
