Homozygous null mice exhibit accelerated cardiomyopathy in response to pressure overload and increased myocardial infarct size after I/R injury. Mice homozygous for another knock-out allele exhibit attenuated pulmonary hypertension and vasculature remodeling response to chronic hypoxia.
