Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit partial lethality between E13.5 and after birth, reduced body size, female and male infertility, atrophy of the testis and ovaries, apoptosis of primordial germ cells, forebrain neuroblast apoptosis and accumulation of double strand breaks.
