(a) Sox9 mRNA levels were increased by about 2-fold upon deletion of Sox8 (TES+/+;Sox8+/+ vs. TES+/+;Sox8-/-).

(c) Expression levels were lowered to 50% in TES-/-;Sox8-/- compared to TES+/+;Sox8-/- levels.
