Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele show alterations in endothelial nitric oxide synthase-mediated vascular function and angiogenic responses. Mice homozygous for a second knock-out allele exhibit multiple defects in macrophage migration and function. Homozygous KO also results in increased female fecundity.
