Phenotypes

This locus controls a lymphocyte antigen on T- and B-cells of spleen, lymph nodes and bone marrow, but not thymus. Antigen is present (a allele) in C57BL/6, C57BL/10, C57L and 129/J; other strains tested are negative (b allele). Expression level is affected by alleles carried at B2m and H2-D1 loci.
