Homozygous null mice exhibit abnormal behavior including hyperactivity and abnormal responses to a new environment, and abnormal working memory and cognition. Neuronal norepinephrine levesl are slow to recover after induced neurotransmitter release. Mortality, growth, kidney function, and reproductive system biology are all unaffected.
