Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele are viable and overtly normal but exhibit disruption of the Golgi apparatus. Mutant fibroblasts show increased cell spreading and cellular F-actin content, increased cell polarization and migration, and enhanced wound healing in a scratch-wound assay.
