Nullizygous mice show reduced survivor rate, seizures, increased food intake, hyperactivity and metabolic changes including lack of weight gain, improved glucose tolerance, elevated adiponectin secretion, increased energy expenditure, reduced white fat amount, and resistance to diet-induced obesity.
