Notes
  • Experiment
    The Cub mutation was mapped to 75 cM on mouse Chromosome 11. The cross used to map cub included a mutant mouse with a full curly coat (cub/cub Mcub/Mcub) mated with a CAST/ EiJ mouse and the resulting F1 hybrids (cub/+ Mcub/mcub) were then intercrossed. 280 meioses were analysed with the following results: standard errors (in parentheses). centromere - D11Mit224 - 5.5 cM (1.4) - D11Mit128 - 3.1 cM (1.0) - D11Mit214 - 2.6 cM (0.9) - cub - 1.8 cM (0.8) - D11Mit303 - 0.4 cM (0.4) - D11Mit48 - 1.7 cM (1.2)- D11Mit104.

Potential candidate genes mapping near cub are Grb2 (75 cM) and Hgs (75 cM).
