By E10.5 most Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)J/Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)J (Exoc3l4-/-) embryos are smaller, some are developmentally delayed, about half have abnormal hearts with some also having pericardial edema while others have cardiac edema. Embryos start dying around E11.5.Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)J/Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)JC57BL/6NJ-Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)J/Mmjax
Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)J/Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)J placentas at E10.5 exhibit multiple labyrinth zone defects, with reduced labyrinth trophoblast layer and impaired chorioallantoic branching. An abnormally large accumulation of maternal blood is seen adjacent to the labyrinth trophoblasts.Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)J/Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)JC57BL/6NJ-Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)J/Mmjax
E10.5 Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)J/Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)J embryos are smaller but have all 3 germ layers.Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)J/Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)JC57BL/6NJ-Exoc3l4em1(IMPC)J/Mmjax
