Caption | Negative image of ethidium bromide-stained agarose gels. Genotypes of samples listed above lanes. Xlr3: the upper band (arrow b) corresponds to a 231-bp cDNA fragment of Xlr3b, which is specific for the C57BL/6J allele. The lower band (arrow a) corresponds to a 216-bp Xlr3a fragment, which represents both idiotypic (C3H and C57BL/6J) and neotypic (C3H specific, allelic to C57BL/6J Xlr3b) Xlr3a. Xlr4: PCR primers amplify a 233-bp fragment of both Xlr4b and Xlr4c from both parental alleles (shown to illustrate the repression of both genes in 39,Xp). Other genes assayed: Pnma3, 217 bp; F8a, 218 bp; Zfp92, 197 bp; Zfp185, 189 bp; Zfp275, 199 bp and Actb, 123 bp. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
