hematopoietic system
• naive mice exhibit significantly lower total numbers of promyelocytes (LiveCD45+CD11b+Ly6Gint) and granulocyte-monocyte progenitors (GMPs) in the bone marrow than wild-type controls
• however, CD4 T cells, CD8 T cells, B cells, group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s), eosinophils, mast cells, basophils, and common myeloid progenitors (CMPs) populations are all normal
• naive mice exhibit significantly lower total numbers of granulocyte-monocyte progenitors (GMPs, LiveCD45+Lineage-CD117+Sca1-CD34+CD16/32high) in the bone marrow than wild-type controls
• naive mice exhibit significantly lower total neutrophil numbers in the lung, spleen, blood, and bone marrow than wild-type controls
• naive mice exhibit significantly lower total macrophage numbers in the lung and spleen than wild-type controls
• after intranasal administration of IL-25, total number of lung neutrophils in the bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) is significantly lower than in IL-25-challenged wild-type controls; however, total number of lung neutrophils in BAL is normal after intranasal administration of PBS
• after intranasal administration of ragweed pollen (RWP) allergen, total number of lung neutrophils is significantly lower than in RWP-challenged wild-type controls; however, total number of lung macrophages is not significantly altered after RWP challenge
• at day 32 after subcutaneous inoculation with viable third-stage N. brasiliensis larvae, total number of lung neutrophils is significantly lower than in similarly challenged wild-type controls, with no significant change in total lung eosinophil or macrophage numbers
• however, no change is noted in the number of worms per intestine, and both cellular infiltration (including neutrophils) and cytokine production are normal in lung tissues at day 4 postinfection with N. brasiliensis

• after intranasal administration of RWP allergen, Muc5ac (but not Muc5b) expression in the lungs (an indicator of mucus production) is significantly lower than in RWP-challenged wild-type controls
