mortality/aging
• long term survival is 18%
• some mice that survive weaning die within 10 days of weaning
• long term survival is 18%
• fewer than expected mice survive postnatal day 1 to 2 and die with empty stomachs
• few mice that survive past the first week of life survive to weaning

growth/size/body
• mice weigh 19% less than wild-type mice
• at week 14 to 15, male mice weigh 26% less than wild-type mice and female mice weigh 29% less than wild-type mice
• mice measure 12% less in length than wild-type mice

skeleton
• the posterior basisphenoid bone fails to fuse and is aberrantly fused to the basioccipital bone
• at E18.5, 12 of 14 mice exhibit asymmetric and/or fused sternebrae compared to only 1 of 19 wild-type mice
• at E18.5, 12 of 14 mice exhibit asymmetric and/or fused sternebrae compared to only 1 of 19 wild-type mice
