phenotype observed in females
phenotype observed in males
N normal phenotype
neoplasm
• hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) observed in 72.7% of male mice between 15 and 24 months of age, but not in any female mice of the same age
• no metastases were detected
• HCC was multifocal with most mice exhibiting1 to 2 highly vascularized large tumors (0.5 to 2.5 cm) and many smaller tumors distributed throughout
• moderately well-differentiated HCC were made of eosinophilic cells and compressed the neighboring non-tumorous liver parenchyma

liver/biliary system
