• Mutation details: This transgene overexpresses the rat Agt gene under the control of the adipocyte-specific Fabp4 promoter. Northern blot and RT-PCR analysis indicates Agt expression specifically in adipose tissue with small amounts of mRNA detected in muscle and heart and none in liver or kidney. Several lines were made, with this line (Line 2) expressing the highest levels of Agt. (J:73163)
