Whole Genome Orthology Map: human on mouse background
Notes and instructions are available at the bottom of this page.
What the map shows
This map provides an overview of human orthology information
plotted against the MGD consensus
genetic map for the mouse. Next to each mouse chromosome
is a set of histograms, each corresponding to a human
chromosome. The chromosome number is displayed immediately above
the histogram. Each bar in a histogram is positioned at
the location of a nonrecombinant bin in the mouse map. The length
of the bar indicates the number of human/mouse orthologies found in
that bin.
Where to go from here
To obtain more detailed information, the map provides the following options:
- Click on a mouse chromosome to retrieve a detailed orthology map
of that chromosome.
- Click on a histogram (near its baseline or on the human chromosome number) to retrieve a compact
tabular listing of all the human/mouse orthologies for that pair of chromosomes.
