Mice homozygous for a null allele show decreased body weight, hyperactivity, abnormalities in carbamylcholine-induced bradycardia and gallbladder contractility, and altered CNS synaptic transmission. Mice homozygous for a different null allele show loss of the anti-cataleptic effect of scopolamine.
