Homozygotes for one knock-out allele show normal myonuclear positioning of both synaptic and non-synaptic nuclei in skeletal muscle cells. Homozygotes for another knock-out allele exhibit a thickened epidermis and altered nuclear envelope architecture in primary dermal fibroblasts and keratinocytes.
