Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit reduced body size, abnormal involuntary movement and quantitative changes in the hematopoietic stem cell and myeloid progenitor compartments, consistent with enhanced survival and increased cycling. Neonatalsurvival is sensitive to genetic background.
