Homozygotes for a null allele show reduced thermal nociception threshold, increased startle reflex, thrombocytopenia, defective megakaryopoiesis, and increased platelet aggregation. Homozygotes for a different null allele show decreased bleeding time, increased platelet aggregation, and thrombosis.
