Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit abnormal embryonic development and embryonic lethality. Mice homozygous for a conditional allele activated in skin cells exhibit increased susceptibility to chemically induced skin tumors with increased proliferative and inflammatory responses in the skin.
