Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit male infertility associated with oligozoospermia, detached sperm flagella, abnormal sperm axonemes with loss of doublet 7 and reduced polyglutamylation of doublet 5, and asthenozoospermia with frequent stalls after anti-hook bending.
