Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit decreased cAMP-stimulated electrogenic Cl- secretion across tracheal and intestinal epithelia. Another knock-out allele shows age-dependent alterations in action potential and firing properties of spiral ganglion neurons in the cochlea.
