Homozygous mutant mice show a reduction in yellow pigment resulting in dilution of agouti; only pinna hairs are affected in nonagouti mice. Mice homozygous for an ENU-induced allele exhibit decreased survival of LPS-induced macrophages and increased incidence of chemically-induced tumors.
