Mice homozygous for a null allele display dysosmia due to impaired ciliary transport of olfactory signaling proteins, olfactory cilia loss, and defective basal body positioning, and develop hydrocephalus caused by impaired CSF flow and disrupted ependymal cilia planar cell polarity.
