Mice homozygous for a null allele die before gastrulation. Mice with a p.A512P variant show postnatal lethality with decreased brain size, increased neuronal cell death, ataxia, accumulation of lysosomes and autophagosomes in cortical and pyramidal neurons, and reduced synaptic connectivity.
