Mutation details: A loxP site and FRt flanked neo cassette were inserted upstream of exon 2 and a loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3 via homologous recombination. Recombinase mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and exons 2 and 3. RT-PCR analysis indicates a dramatic reduction in mRNA expression in homozygous mice. (J:183290)
