Mutation details: This transgene directs the expression of Cre recombinase under the control of the alpha subunit of the calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II promoter. Cre recombinase activity was detected in the CA1 and CA3 regions of the hippocampus, and weakly in the dentate gyrus, cortex and striatum. Several lines were generated (T17, T29, T29-2, and T50).
