Mutation details: An Nfkbia cDNA fragment encoding amino acids 71 through 317 of Nfkbia was inserted at start codon of the endogenous gene. The coding region of the first coding exon and the following 4 downstream exons were replaced by the inserted sequences. The encoded mutant Nfkbia protein was expressed in most tissues, lacked the N-terminal destruction box degradation signal, and has been previously shown to inhibit Nfkb1. (J:71744)
