mortality/aging
N
• unlike in mice homozygous for Hoxc4tm1Mrc, mice exhibit no increase in postnatal lethality

immune system
N
• mice exhibit normal B cell, T cell, CD4+ T cell numbers, death of B cells and T cells in the spleens and Peyer's patches, and B cell cycle, division, and germinal center formation
• following B cell stimulation with LPS or LPS plus cytokines, class switch recombination is reduced compared to in wild-type mice
• however, germ line transcription of the intervening heavy chain and constant heavy chain is normal, and forced expression of Aicda (AID) restores class switch recombination
• fewer mutations are observed compared to in wild-type mice
• following B cell stimulation with LPS or LPS plus cytokines
• following B cell stimulation with LPS or LPS plus cytokines
• unimmunized mice exhibit lower than normal IgG1 serum levels
• following immunization with NP16-CGG, mice exhibit reduced total IgG1 serum levels, NP30-binding and NP3-binding IgG1 compared to in similarly treated wild-type mice
• following B cell stimulation with LPS or LPS plus cytokines
• following B cell stimulation with LPS or LPS plus cytokines
• following B cell stimulation with LPS or LPS plus cytokines
• following immunization with NP16-CGG, mice exhibit slightly lower NP3-binding IgM compared to in similarly treated wild-type mice
