immune system
• eosinophil numbers are increased during secondary infection with Nippostrongylus brasiliensis compared to in wild-type mice
• following infection with Nippostrongylus brasiliensis, IgE levels are 2- to 9-fold lower than in wild-type mice
• by day 11 of secondary infection, IgE levels are decreased 2- to 3-fold compared to in wild-type mice
• following stimulation with anti-mouse IgD, IgG1 and IgE levels only increased by 5- to 15-fold compared to 20- to 50-fold in wild-type mice
• following stimulation with hapten, IgE levels only increase 20-fold compared to 100-fold in wild-type mice
• following infection with Nippostrongylus brasiliensis, IgG1 levels are 1.5- to 4-fold lower than in wild-type mice
• by day 11 of secondary infection, IgG1 levels are decreased compared to in wild-type mice
• following stimulation with anti-mouse IgD, IgG1 and IgE levels only increased by 5- to 15-fold compared to 20- to 50-fold in wild-type mice
• however, stimulation with hapten elicits a normal IgG1 response
