behavior/neurological
• at 8 months of age mice display impaired passive avoidance retention latency
• mice exhibit reduced forelimb grip strength at 3 months (23% reduction) and 8 months (22% reduction) compared to wild-type mice
• mice exhibit decreased grip to body weight at 3 months (15% reduction) and 8 months (11% reduction) compared to wild-type mice
• at 3 months of age, mice exhibit decreased locomotor activity (2640+/-358 beam breaks compared to 3472+/-394 beam breaks for wild-type mice)
• however, locomotor activity is normal at 8 and 10 months of age and spontaneous alternation behavior is normal at 3 and 8 months

nervous system
• less efficient in baclofen-induced reduction of evoked EPSC amplitude and mEPSC frequency, but not amplitude
• less pronounced resistance to baclofen-induced reduction of mEPSC frequency than in hippocampal slices from Gabbr1 homozygotes
• however, baseline mEPSC frequency and amplitude are normal

growth/size/body
• body weight is reduced by 7% at 3 months of age and 12% at 8 months of age compared to wild-type mice
