Homozygotes for a knock-out allele show no major defects in skeletal muscle. However, homozygotes for another knock-out allele show partial background-sensitive prenatal lethality, embryonic right ventricular (RV) dilation and dysplasia, hypotrabeculation, and RV cardiomyopathy in surviving adults.
