Molecular description: A 2181 bp HindIII genomic DNA fragment incorporating the mouse Prop1 promoter and enhancer regions (extending from 967 bp upstream of the coding sequence to 59 bases into the second exon) drives expression of cre recombinase with a synthetic poly A tail. The mutation was created in CB6F1 (BALB/c x C57BL/6) embryos.
