Mutation details: Mice bearing this transgene express a C3S/C4S palmitoylation-deficient mutant form of rat CACNB2 (calcium channel, voltage-dependent, beta 2 subunit; an L-type Ca<2+> channel (LTCC) activator) fused to the canonical caveolin binding domain (CBD; RNVPPIFNDVYWIAF) under the conditional control of the mouse Myh6 (myosin, heavy polypeptide 6, cardiac muscle, alpha) promoter and the tetracycline-responsive element (TRE or tetO). Expression of the transgene is robust as determined by western blot.
