• Experiment
  The Kcnj6 locus was mapped on mouse Chromosome 16 in the progeny of (B6CBACa - A^w-J/A-Kcnj6^wv x MOLD/Rk or CAST/Ei)F1 x C57BL/6J crosses by means of restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis. Kcnj6 was found to consistently segregate with the weaver phenotype (reduced cerebellum, smaller internal granule cell layer, a greater number of cells in the molecular layer, and a misalignment of the Purkinje cells as compared to wild type mouse).
