Notes
  • Experiment
Five murine casein loci were physically mapped in two overlapping YAC clones that included approximately 450kb of genomic DNA from mouse Chromosome 5. Overall the physical order of loci within the YACs was Csn1s1 - Csn2 - Csn1s2a - Csn1s2b - Csn3. Specifically two loci, Csn1s1 and Csn2, mapped to the same 65kb ClaI fragment. Minimum restriction fragments occupied by various casein loci were provided, therefore the distances between loci were not estimated by the authors but was provided figuratively in atextual restriction map.
