Notes
  • Experiment
A congenic strain, AEJ.A, was constructed by transferring the cleft lip (clf1) trait from strain A/WySn to a genetically normal strain, AEJ/RkBc. It was determined that D11Mit10 cotransferred with clf1 in several of the AEJ.A carrier males. Through analysis of neighboring Chromosome 11 SSLPs the authors were able to define the clf1-containing region was between D11Mit67 and D11Mit147. They also determined that the order of loci in this region is: D11Mit67, D11Mit132, D11Mit123, D11Mit59, D11Mit124, D11Mit58, clf1, D11Mit10, D11Mit126, D11Mit166, D11Mit147. The genotypes of 16 AEJ.A proven clf1 carrier males is provided in the reference.
