Notes
  • Experiment
A series of male recombinant t-chromosomes, derived from M. spretus x M. domesticus, along with various t-haplotypes were used to map new hybrid sterility genes, Hst6 and Hst5 to distal inversion In(17)4 of the t-complex. Hst5 mapped between Cryaa and D17Leh89 with Hst6 mapping proximal to Hst5 and between Pim1 and Cryaa. These hybrid steriltiy genes plus DNA markers used to identify the t-complex chromosomes indicate a gene order of D17Leh48, D17Leh54, Hba-ps4, Hst4, Pim1, Hst6, Cryaa Hst5 and D17Leh89 on Chromosome 17.
